This is something I didn't want to ever have to do, but the time has come to admit my limitations and my mistakes. The forum is going to close in November. Here's the main reasons why:
1) While writing is a tool I use to help with my mental health, it is not the only tool I use. At this point keeping the forum alive for the sake of my mental health will end up causing more problems than relieving them. I'm also going to teach at a much larger...
Hi all. I meant to include ways of staying in touch in my last announcement post, but forgot about it due to the craziness of real life.
I'm sure at some point down the road someone will try and revive this type of forum. Or maybe some other story websites exist that I or someone else doesn't know about. Either way, the biggest gripe I had about The Black Van shutting down was how the admin team told us then immediately disabled the website to...
Due to the forum closure and my upcoming busy schedule I have decided to not run contests or community contests. If anyone else wants to run a contest, you are of course free to do so until the forum ends on November 9th.
Official Statement Involving Cheating With Multiple Accounts
We have discovered and are currently investigating multiple cheating incidents regarding prior contests of the forum.
What Led to the Investigation
At the conclusion of the Party Hard! contest, I felt it odd that a significant number of votes decided the winner toward the last minute. The poll data did not contain any irregularities. @Shocker 's win was a legitimate case of a few...
Please use this thread to let us know when you reached the reputation threshold to become a Pillar of the Community . We would like to automate the process of adding users to the Pillars user group, but currently we still have to do that manually. If we notice that you reached the necessary number of reputation points, we will add you to the group. But we might notice it faster if you just let us know here.
RavishU, or the Ravishment University, was taken down by its host on February 11 2025 for hosting illegal content . As RavishU's sister site Kristen's Board shared the same host, it was taken down at the same time. The host sent a 24 hour termination notice and once that time was up, RavishU and Kristensboard were deleted from the server that had hosted them.
(If you're interested in the larger history of our community: The end of...
The Ravishment Academy is growing but still young and fragile. You can help the Academy grow. But what can you actually do?
The Basics
Let's start with the two most obvious things:
Comment on stories
Rate stories
The first point is self-explanatory and is the lifeblood of every forum. Without people commenting, there is no community. It is as simple as that. It is the most important thing you can do.
I finally got a chat bot written that runs in mchat, and for now it has two commands it can do:
!help lists what it can do
!roll NdF message : rolls N dice with F faces each, shows them and their sum and the message
!roll : rolls 1d37
!roll 10 : rolls 10d37
!roll 10d : rolls 10d37
!roll dF : rolls 1dF
Please tell me what you think in this thread and what enhancements you would love to see for the chat bot, there is no promises...

Here's a list of various hosting providers with brief information about what material is available there. Keep in mind that you are responsible for your own use.
--- Apparently allows the hosting of completely normal and uncritical images. Sexual practices, even implied without pornographic content, are usually deleted within 24 hours. Only suitable for youth-friendly photos.
--- It's not yet entirely clear whether sexual material is...
Summer is officially here, and June is shaping up to be a busy month on the forum. We've got contests wrapping up, a Season Pass finale on the horizon, and a brand-new season about to begin.
Server Update
The server issues that affected the forum last month are completely resolved. Thank you to everyone for your patience while those problems were investigated and fixed. The site has been running smoothly, and we hope...
Exactly one year ago on February 11 2025 Kristen's Board (kristensboard.com) and RavishU (ravishu.com) were shut down by their host for hosting illegal content according to the host. I don't want to go into the details of what happened because I would not have anything new to say that I didn't already explain in the What happened to RavishU? -thread. But I would like to take the one year anniversary of our predecessors downfall to honor them and...
It's been a crazy few weeks for the forum. Between server issues, recovering from a hacking incident involving our host, and general downtime headaches, things have definitely been stressful behind the scenes. Thankfully the forum pulled through all of it and is now stable again.
I also want to thank everyone for their patience during the outages and slowdowns. The support, bug reports, and understanding from members...
Our webhost was recently hacked by ransomware and in reaction to that shut down the server. During the last few days they patched the holes and the forum is now up again. Unfortunately we lost some content since the last backup from April 27, 10:41 AM CEST. Huge thank you to @Vela Nanashi for having that backup. Otherwise we would have had an earlier backup on April 24th.
There is nothing to suggest that personal information or...
First off, apologies for the delay in the monthly update of the forum. A couple of weeks ago we moved to a new house. Then on Wednesday I hit a deer on the way to work that caused the engine light to come on. Thankfully I was almost at work and was able to limp home without issue. But the very next day I hit yet another deer on the way to work and it caused the airbags to go off. So it's been a crazy few weeks.
In an effort to keep communication going between the mod team and the community, we are going to give out updates on the forum once a month. So, here's how things are going:
Project Relaunch
At the beginning of the year, we launched a coordinated effort intended to get the forum out of a negative feedback loop. Overall, Project Relaunch has been a moderate success. Changing story contests to short stories seems to have...
The first contest of the current contest season is over. The Ravished in a Flash tournament ended after 4 exciting rounds with our @RapeU as the winner! But let's look at how he got there because it was not an easy path to victory at all.
Tournament Recap
The first round of the tournament was a play in phase. Our 13 contestants
Two community challenges for you for the next two weeks:
Challenge 1: Guys, gals, and fellow humans. @Claire and @Vela Nanashi do so much for this forum, it would not be possible for this place to run without them. Take some time to thank them for all the hard work they have put into keeping this forum alive. All it takes is less than 5 minutes to send quick PM or a user wall comment.
Challenge 2: Rate and comment on one of the short/flash...
The Most Important Moment in the Academy's History
Today, about 10 months after the official launch of the Ravishment Academy on April 4 2025, the Community Favorites board joins the Public Stories and Popular Stories boards on the index page of the forum. With this, the forum can finally work as intended. How we as a community now react to this will decide which path the forum takes.
Path 1: The first path is the familiar one. The community...
Our community challenge for you for the next two weeks:
Check out the stories in the Popular Stories board and help us get a story above a rating of 60, making it the first story finding a new home the Community Favorites board!
New Accomplished Writers and Popular Stories:
@Darinost with his story It Takes a Village
@Lucius with his story One Morning in Potaissa
@Claire with her story Late Satisfaction
If you have been here for a while, you will have noticed by now that the forum has fallen asleep over the course of the last few months. The influx of new stories has been drastically reduced since the peak of activity back in June, and the lack of feedback for authors has made the forum utterly unattractive for new authors to post their stories here. We are on course to end up in the same state as all our predecessors. But we...
Happy new year everyone. The team is currently working on some things to try and help get more participation within the forum. One of the things is releasing a contest schedule for a six month period so that readers and authors both know what's coming up. We're hoping to get the details ironed out by January 4th, but it could be a little later so be patient with us :)
The transfer of ownership is for the most part complete. There are still a few minor things to do, but the majority of it is finished.
So, where are we at?
@Claire is not wrong. The forum is currently on life support. My initial goal was to get enough people to keep this place running. That goal has for the most part been met.
Like Claire, I have a vision for a forum that encourages reader feedback along with author commentary. It would make...
Transfer of the ownership over the forum to @RapeU is finished. At this point, I neither own the ravishmentacademy.com domain anymore nor is the forum data hosted on my account. This transfer took longer than expected because we tried for a long time to get Abelohost to help us in a way that would have eliminated any downtime for the forum. But ultimately, we ended up doing it ourselves which resulted in roughly 6 hours...
An additional rule has been added since this subject has come up a few times.
Advertising or Linking Other Websites
It is acceptable to advertise another website of similar content in a single thread or your signature. It is a plus if you are able to get the other website to link us, but it is not required. The website cannot have any of the following content that is forbidden by our hosting service:
Some people may have been experiencing odd errors like a Forbidden message or 500 error when trying to access the forum. There's a technical issue we are trying to resolve, and in our quest to resolve it this is where the error is coming from.
We're hoping to get the technical issue resolved without the error soon. In the meantime, if you hear of anyone being unable to access the forum at all please let us know.
On October 3 8:00 CEST we will finally complete the ownership transfer of the forum from me to @RapeU . I'm sorry that this took us so long. We were trying very hard to get the Abelohost support to help us do this transfer in a way that avoided downtime for the forum, but we weren't able to do it.
So here is what will happen. On October 3, I will put the forum in maintenance mode. You will then see a message informing you about the forum being...
On Monday, September 15 (late evening U.S. time) / Tuesday, September 16 (early morning in Europe), we will be finalizing the transfer of forum ownership from @Claire to myself.
Our goal is for this transition to be seamless, but since I’m not a technical expert—and the last time I managed a forum was over a decade ago—we want to proceed carefully to avoid any issues. As part of the process, the forum will be placed into maintenance mode for a...
The transfer of ownership of the forum did not go as planned on Monday/Tuesday.
The tech support of the hosting site is helpful, but due to multiple conflicting schedules - me a teacher in America and Claire in Europe - getting tech support understand what we want to happen hasn't been easy. As a result, we don't have a set time for transfer or know when the forum will be put in maintenance mode. We will try to get this transition done within...
After I announced that I would no longer run the Ravishment Academy after October 4 due to a lack of interest of the community in the forum, @RapeU has decided to take over from me.
At this point, I have made him an admin of the forum and have gifted him the ravishmentacademy.com domain that he is now the owner of. Currently, the forum is still hosted on my Abelohost account, but once @RapeU has booked his own hosting plan, we will transition...
A quick overview who is on the team and which of the supported languages for stories - currently English and German - the individual team members can be contacted in. If you got any problems, especially with harassment of any kind from other users, please reach out to our team!
Admins
@Claire
She is the owner of the forum.
Languages: English, German
In previous announcements, I said that I would evaluate whether the Ravishment Academy is worth running or not after three months. In light of the development of the forum over the last month, I'm very happy to say that I will not close the forum. :)
If you want to know more about what happened since the last announcement and where we currently stand, please read the second post!
The second most important moment since the launch on April 4 just occurred: The Popular Stories Board came out of hiding and took center stage now that it provides a new home for @Shocker 's story Fugitives . I explained in detail here how the new board works, but the short summary is: The Popular Stories board gives highly rated stories a new home where they won't be so easily forgotten as they would be on one of the later pages of the Public...
A young community like ours goes through many firsts in its early days. It took us almost three months, but we've just had our first user ban, certainly a sad milestone. But that it took so long for this to happen is also a sign for how responsible the community's members have been in treating each other. I don't remember any cases of deeply insulting criticisms on a story or verbally heated exchanges in the Book Club or the Dining Hall. Given...
Today around 19:20 CEST @Vela Nanashi and I tried to install a modified extension on the forum that caused a bug that did not show up on our testforum earlier. That bug essentially blew up the entire forum. We fixed it by using a roughly 10 minute old backup of the forum. Sadly, I accidentally caused the same bug to occur again about an hour later. Now that backup is no longer 10 minutes but an hour out of date.
Over the course of the last week, you might have noticed a few small changes on the forum. None of them are game changers, but quality of life improvements to make navigating the Academy easier. Let's go through them.
Story Sorting
The biggest and most recent one are some quick links to sort topics by rating, views, author etc. Up until now, you had to scroll down to the bottom of a forum page, click on a button at the bottom left to open a...
One month ago, I created the announcement with the ominous title Headed for Closure in the wake of the poor engagement with the Ravished in a Flash Quarter Final. Where does the Academy stand now after its second month?
The forum is doing extremely well in many metrics: Daily Visitors, Bandwidth Use, Findability via Search Engines, Daily New Users. But sadly, it shows essentially 0 progress in the most important metric of all: users commenting...
I told myself that I would evaluate whether this forum is worth running after three months. After one month, I sadly have to say: Currently, it is headed for closure because of the utter lack of engagement from the vast majority of users.
If you want to know more about why and what needs to change, read the second post.
At this point, the Ravishment Academy is a little older than two weeks. I told myself that I would evaluate the forum after three months to see whether it is worth running or not. Now that we are roughly one sixth of the way there, it is a good time to take stock to see where we are at this point.
What went well
The forum launched on April 4. The strategy to invite people we knew from Ravishment University and The Black Van worked to get...
Thanks to @Vela Nanashi the Reputation System has received a major update. You will see now to the left of a story's title on the topic list a number that wasn't there before. This is the story's reputation. To be precise, this is the reputation score of the first post in a story topic. So if you rate the first post of a story, you rate the story as a whole. If you give the story a rating of 1 or 2 points, you can...
April 4 2025, this is the launch date of the Ravishment Academy! And I hope you give this forum and its many features a good look! Register, and you will be able to rate and react to stories. But most importantly, I would love to see you comment on our authors' stories or post a story yourself. I wish for this forum to become the new go to place for those who enjoy rape fantasy after quite a few established places for our niche have disappeared...
