This forum, the Ravishment Academy, is a spiritual successor to RavishU. @Vela Nanashi was an admin on RavishU, I myself was a moderator there in its final days. Vela and I tried to make some changes to RavishU in the hope of reinvigorating the place. But this forum is not RavishU nor is anybody involved here the owner of RavishU.
What happened to RavishU?
You might wonder what that "illegal content" was that ultimately brought the forum down. We don't know. We can tell you that RavishU got into trouble for hosting stories featuring underage characters multiple times in the past. There was even a complaint to the provider of the domain - not the web host - earlier in January 2025 about one of the lingering ua stories on the forum. It might be the case that the same complaint reached the web host who simply had enough at this point and called it quits on RavishU with a bit of delay.
While we don't know for sure what got the host to kill the site, we can tell you that RavishU had never been properly cleaned off ua content. The administration before Vela and I joined the team never did a thorough check of the remaining content on the forum. While we were busy doing other things, we removed about 2000+ stories from the forum that featured minors. We stumbled over those while giving the stories a very shallow read for other purposes. We wanted to do a thorough sweep a few weeks later, but never got to that. But the most likely answer to the question what happened to RavishU is: Its past of hosting underage content caught up to it because the place was never truly cleaned up.
Another angle that might have brought down RavishU involves the posting of pornographic images. In the past, there had been a case where users posted images of a gang rape scene that they assumed to be from some porn movie or porn image gallery. It turned out that those images depicted a real rape and the victim had to speak up to the administration of the RavishU forum to get them removed. In its later days, RavishU featured multiple threads that only consisted of people posting images of naked women. So it could be possible that again some image was posted that depicted something illegal. Maybe someone posted by accident a topless image of a 17 year old and that never got removed. Given the lack of moderation on RavishU, something like this would not have been caught.
What is the Ravishment Academy?
The Ravishment Academy is a spiritual successor to RavishU. It is meant to be a new home for those who miss reading, writing and discussing rape fantasy stories. After many sites went down, not just RavishU, but also sites like The Black Van, Rape Cage, Rape Desires - and I'm sure there is more - we want this forum to be a new place that will hopefully last a little longer. That being said, this forum is not trying to recreate RavishU or any of the other sites mentioned. These sites are seen by us primarily as examples for how NOT to do things. RavishU in particular was in its final days an outdated, unmoderated and difficult to navigate forum with a largely inactive community. This is not what we want to be. Here is what the Ravishment Academy has to offer over the old RavishU forum:
- Up to date forum software (phpBB 3.3.15 here compared to Simple Machines Forum (SMF) 2.0.17 on RavishU)
- Many additional functionality to the base forum software, like:
- Leaner structure that is easy to navigate
- Active admins and moderators that participate in the community
