Forum Downtime Explained

Hello all.

Our webhost was recently hacked by ransomware and in reaction to that shut down the server. During the last few days they patched the holes and the forum is now up again. Unfortunately we lost some content since the last backup from April 27, 10:41 AM CEST. Huge thank you to @Vela Nanashi for having that backup. Otherwise we would have had an earlier backup on April 24th.

There is nothing to suggest that personal information or passwords have been leaked, but in an overabundance of caution we suggest that you change your passwords if you used the same login info anywhere else. Additionally, be on the lookout for any suspicious activity and report something that doesn't seem right to a member of the moderation team. No one should be asking for anyone's login credentials and if you get PM'd a link that asks you to login somewhere, including this forum, use caution as it could be a phishing attempt to get your password.

We kindly ask for any new users that joined since then to create their account anew, and encourage anyone who created a topic, made a comment, or rated a story to post that again if possible.

In regards to contest schedule, the Season Pass will continue to run as planned with the Party Hard theme stories to be written by May 15th. The April/May Community Contest will be cancelled for this year, but the prompts from that contest will be used for the May/June Community Contest. This gives writers extra time to come up with a story where the prompts were already known. Prompt suggestions that have already been made for the May/June Community Contest will be moved to the June/July Community Contest unless the specific user wants to suggest something different.

I’m so shocked to learn of the hack! That’s crazy fr! Nonetheless I’m absolutely stoked that the forum is back on I’m a newer member of course but I grew attached pretty quickly. Other erotica platforms just don’t hit like this one. There’s something special goin on here so I’m over the moon to be back!

It's funny. I was so happy to have found this forum, as I had greatly lamented the decline of ravishu. I had only now discovered ravishmentacademy, and just after making a couple of posts and sharing my fist story, the site vanished! I was thinking I was bad luck there for a second.

Yes, I think this something special is exactly what @Claire and @Vela Nanashi brought from RavishU a year ago = Taking the best part of it. I'm glad you're enjoying your time here. There are many different members and just as many different styles! I have bad memories of site shutdowns, so of course I was very relieved when it came back!
