What Is Season Pass?
Season pass is a series of contests where, with exception of the flash fiction tournament, everyone is given the themes and contest rules ahead of time. This allows authors to prepare for stories well in advance. Top 5 participants of each contest receive a season pass score, which will be updated from month to month. And to account for the possibility of someone not being able to participate in all contests, the final score of every participant will consist only of their 5 best results. So skipping one of the contests should not prevent you from winning the season if your other 5 contest results were great!
At the end of the season pass, a Season Pass Champion will be crowned!
July:
- Title: Flash of Desire - The Flash Fiction Tournament
- Format: Flash fiction (250 to 1,000 words), several rounds depending on the number of participants
- Theme: Check thread for match themes
- Score: 5 points per match victory, 10 for the tournament winner, 5 for the runner-up.
August:
- Title: Romance Awareness Month
- Format: Short stories (1,000 to 5,000 words)
- Theme: Consensual
- Score: 1 - 25, 2 - 15, 3 - 10, 4 - 5, 5 - 5
September:
- Title: It's All History
- Format: Short stories (1,000 to 5,000 words)
- Theme: 50 years ago
- Score: 1 - 25, 2 - 15, 3 - 10, 4 - 5, 5 - 5
October:
- Title: Friday The Thirteenth
- Format: Short stories (1,000 to 5,000 words)
- Theme: Room 1313
- Score: 1 - 25, 2 - 15, 3 - 10, 4 - 5, 5 - 5
November:
- Title: No Nut November Challenge
- Format: Short stories (1,000 to 5,000 words)
- Theme: What I lost
- Score: 1 - 25, 2 - 15, 3 - 10, 4 - 5, 5 - 5
December:
- Title: Holiday Urban Legends
- Format: Medium stories (5,000 to 15,000 words)
- Theme: Ice/Snow
- Score: 1 - 50, 2 - 30, 3 - 20, 4 - 10, 5 - 5
