The cBB Follower extension adds Twitter inspired functions to the base phpBB forum software.
Each user gets their own Wall on which they can post.
Users can follow other users. They will then receive notifications when a user they follow posts in the forum or on their wall.
Other users can be mentioned, creating a notification for the mentioned user telling them who mentioned them where.
Hashtags can be added to forum posts and wall posts. Clicking on a hashtag shows you all posts that used that hashtag. #Follower
On the wall of a user, you can not only search for all their posts, but also look up all the topics they created. On your own wall, you can look up where you have been mentioned even after you've deleted the original notification.
