I just wanted to say thanks for making the forum. I had an account at the old forum, but I never posted once. I still read a ton of stuff posted there. I was sad when it went down. I will try to comment more this time instead of just reading.

@Peer Welcome to the Academy! It's the actually the first time for me that I am running a forum like or any website for that matter. In some sense, it was easier than expected, but in others also more difficult. So I appreciate the kind words.

Do you remember having any clear favorite story on RavishU (assuming this is the old forum you mean)? And did you ever think trying your luck at writing something yourself?

There was a story that was almost like a squid game type game show about humiliation. I also remember one particular poster that did a lot of posts about like a stalker/hunter that were good. There were so many good stories. Glad you are trying to make a similar space.

I hope we can get to a similar volume and variety in stories over time as RavishU had, but it will take a while. I'm curious to get your feedback on the Flash Fiction Tournament once it begins. We don't have a lot of people here yet who are primarily here to read and not write. So yours is definitely a valuable perspective.

Btw, can I ask how you found us?

I wasn’t expecting the old forum to shut down, so I have been searching for it every couple weeks hoping it would come back. The good news is you show up very high on a search for the old forum. So I would think a lot of us that read the old forum have a shot of finding this one.

Welcome to our little neck of the net. I know that you said you haven’t been commenting on the old forum. Think of it this way, at the moment you are one of a few people hear, so your feedback is going to encourage our writers to write more. And if you are commenting about something you like the chances increase, that those new stories will also match your kinks.

Feedback is a wonderful boost for an author, and at least I tend to pander a bit to my readership that gives me that positive feedback. I still won’t write something I don’t like, but leaning heavier into stuff my readers like. But authors are not mind readers, professional authors have sales figures to motivate them and give a feedback, as we are contributing for free here, it has to be comments that give that feedback.
