I want just one traumatized teddy bear. I would also be fine with the picture you posted earlier. I'm just saying, if I could precisely specify what the avatar looks like, a teddy bear with vacant eyes in a fetal position would be ideal. But it is not that important if that is not possible or very difficult.LaLia wrote: Tue Apr 22, 2025 7:03 pm
So instead of the traumatized bear? So you didn't want two teddy bears?

Re: Ravished in a Flash - An Erotic Writing Tournament
I've added the tournament bracket to the second post of the thread. Contestants can look up there which match-up they belong to and what their path through the bracket will be in case they win their match. All contestants haven been assigned a pen name at random which I will inform them about via PM. I've only made sure that nobody got the pen name that they themselves suggested. Cotestants do now have 4 days to write their entries for their Quarter Final match. Please post your entry in the "Ravished in a Flash Tournament" board which should be visible to you now if you are a contestant. If it's not, please contact me via PM.

Hi Claire, there's one thing I'm still unclear about.
You're supposed to add a link to your opponent's story at the beginning of your story.
How can I do that if they haven't posted anything yet?

Yes, to be precise: you have until the end of Saturday (CEST) to hand in your story. Voting begins on Sunday.
Does anybody know how to get in contact with @darklord? He said that he wanted to participate in the other thread, so I included him in the list. But he hasn't been here since and hasn't read my PM assigning him his pen name yet. I am a bit worried he might have agreed without knowing about the time window for writing the story.

I'd love to try and toss my hat in to play, but we're in the midst of moving, and the majority of it is happening on Saturday.

If this tournament style contest is a success, I would love to repeat it sometime and then you are more than welcome to join the competition. But there is an inherent risk to this style of contest. If too many people drop out in the middle of it, it can undermine the whole thing. So we will have to see how well this actually works. But I would love to make this a common thing and hopefully with enough participants next time so that I can sit one out and focus on the organization of it all.pinkwarkitten14 wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 7:28 am I'd love to try and toss my hat in to play, but we're in the midst of moving, and the majority of it is happening on Saturday.

Re: Ravished in a Flash - An Erotic Writing Tournament
Since the issue of anonymity came up twice now in Private Messages that were sent to me, here is how you as a contestant will stay anonymous with your entry:
You create a thread in the Ravished in a Flash Tournament board. Only contestants have access to that board, so nobody who is not a contestant will see anything that's going on in there. And only you will be able to see your own thread in that board. So the other contestants won't know your story until voting begins. When the voting period begins, I will change "ownership" over your thread to an account that uses your pen name and move the thread to the Public Stories board. Once the tournament is over, ownership will be returned to your normal account and you will get all the reputation points your story has collected under your pen name.
I'm sorry if I didn't explain that very well earlier. But the bottom line is: If you create a thread in the Ravished in a Flash Tournament board, your anonymity should be guaranteed.
If you have other contestants following your account, they might get a notification when you create a new thread that reveals the title of your story. In that case, you can avoid giving away your identity by naming the thread some nonsense when first creating it and then edit the title later on.

Re: Ravished in a Flash - An Erotic Writing Tournament
I did reach out to @darklord today and reminded him of the deadline. Which reminds me could we perhaps shift the deadline from Saturday to Sunday? It's a bit easier to write on the weekend.Claire wrote: Fri Apr 25, 2025 7:18 amYes, to be precise: you have until the end of Saturday (CEST) to hand in your story. Voting begins on Sunday.
