Nickamano found his way here (in the third person for some reason) after the sudden vanishment of the previous place of higher education. I'd only found that place last year and started dipping my toe in. So it's great to have randomly discovered this new "Off spring" locale to engage with.

I'm happy you found your way here. Your name sounds familiar but I might confuse you with someone else. Did you by any chance write Star Wars fanfiction? And can I ask how you found us?Nickamano wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 8:00 pm Nickamano found his way here (in the third person for some reason) after the sudden vanishment of the previous place of higher education. Re: Academy... further education or higher education?
Hiya, yeah I have written Star Wars stuff in the past (way back). I'm better known for my "Urotsuki-doji" fan fiction though obviously that's much less well known. I posted a couple of stories on the University forum last year.
Lara Catalina led me to the University forum. She posted a couple of things I wrote for her on the forum a number of years ago. and had sent me a few recommendations too. But it took me a while to join and start posting myself.
When it went down, I tried a few intermittent attempts to find out why or if it might pop up again (I was halfway through Seeker's "DevTech" series and was desperate to read the rest of it, lol) and one day the name Ravishment Academy popped up on google ... and here I am.

It's great that we're being found via Google.
As you can see, we're still under construction, and every new user is important for us to reach the RavishU level before we run out of steam

@Nickamano Thanks for letting me know. This is the first time I'm running a website of any kind and making sure that people can find us via Google is definitely something I didn't know how to do before. So hearing that you found us with Google is actually a massive relief. It means I didn't screw this up entirely.
I hope we get to read some of your stories here too. I love the authors we already have here, but when it comes to posting stories and commenting on them, it is still a bit of a circle jerk here and another person adding their voice to the mix would do the forum some good.

I'm glad you're glad about google, I was kinda thinking it would be a good sign. I have emails with a couple of other past posters to the University so I'll email them and send the link.
I certainly plan to post stories on here. Trouble with me is I'm not the writer of shorter stories that's popular on these kinds of places. My stories tend to stretch to novel length, which tends to be harder to get readers to commit to.

Re: Academy... further education or higher education?
Long stories are definitely welcome here too. My longest English story here might approach something like 50,000+ words by the time it is finished. Maybe that's still short for a novel but definitely long compared to the average rape fantasy story. I can't promise you that your long stories will be read by tons of people here - first this place needs to survive the first few months at all which is hard for any new forum no matter its subject matter - but the entire goal of this forum is to create a place where stories are actually discussed and not just consumed. This is the main difference to RavishU that I am going for: I don't want this to be the literature equivalent to pornhub but a place that treats the stories here primarily as erotic fiction. I want stories to be discussed as such, and be more than fap material. So your long stories are most welcome here! I am not sure whether we'll be able to achieve that cultural shift from passive consumption to active discussion but I can promise you that you will have at least one reader in me.Nickamano wrote: Fri Apr 18, 2025 12:53 pm I'm glad you're glad about google, I was kinda thinking it would be a good sign. That's a very kind promise to make.
It's also a very noble sentiment, the idea of having discussions developing around stories that people post here., rather than just reading and moving on. But yes, I feel like your "cultural shift" desire might not be an achievable goal but its certainly something noble to strive toward. And I applaud you for your efforts.

Good to see more long story writers joining, I also write rather long stories most of the time
I have a hard time letting characters go.
