I get what you're saying that the story feels unfinished to you. I think especially the introduction to the scene feels rushed.

I like the idea that you are trying to imply what's happening from the dialogue instead of narrating it directly in many cases. But I think that would need a little more polish. Currently, the dialogue feels unnatural to me because of it.
