Hey y’all! I’ve been devouring works on other platforms and saw this mentioned by a few authors. It was Training Day by Lucius that finally brought me over! I enjoy reading about normalized slavery and sexual slavery in societies and enjoy tentacles, bondage, and/or aliens. Still struggling a bit with the shame of enjoying reading about these things occurring fictionally while also being fully against them happening IRL but I don’t hold that against authors. Curious to see what works I can find here as I’ve already read a few. I like the rating system of 1-3 so I can differentiate what I like versus love. Now this has just turned into (neurodivergent) rambles so I’ll stop it here :)

Aw, I'm flattered! But we have many excellent authors here, there's a lot of juicy reading matter to devour. :)

I can't speak for everyone here, but the authors whose works you're likely to encounter are fully against those things IRL (well, maybe not against bondage and aliens... :geek:) as well. @Lucius certainly is!

@TromboneDalek Welcome to the Academy! I recognize that name. :)

I get what you're feeling regarding being conflicted enjoying stories like this. I struggled with writing stories like ours even more than with reading. So you're not alone with that. I can assure you that our community takes great care to distinguish between fantasy and reality. We had exactly one user here so far who needed to be banned and it was precisely because he thought he could make light of rape in real life. Everybody else here is like you perfectly capable of enjoying a fantasy without letting those bleed into real life. You're at the right place. :)
My stories: Claire's Cesspool of Sin. I'm always happy to receive a comment on my stories, even more so on an older one!

Welcome @TromboneDalek :) I too have seen you on Ao3 I think :) I get the way that feeling/conflict about enjoying in stories/fantasy what you don't in real life, but it is just fantasy, so no real people are hurt. Hppe you enjoy your stay and also please feel free to ramble about what you read, we love comments here, or well nearly all of us do :)
