What a beautiful and fitting comment from another wonderful author, @Vile8r. If that’s not motivation to keep writing the story, I don’t know what is…

Thank you so much, that's high praise coming from you! The way I write dialogue is in general inspired by the Before movie trilogy by Richard Linklater. I'm not sure whether those films fit your personal taste, but give them a chance if you have the time. I think they are a masterclass in writing naturally sounding but carefully crafted dialogue.Vile8r wrote: Mon Oct 27, 2025 3:50 am This is the type of story that should be used as a tutorial for new writers. "How to write a good rape story?" An arrow pointing to this one. Dialogue - character development -backstory- detail - it checks off all of the boxes needed for a great story.
I aspire to be able to do dialogue as well as you, @Claire.
Definitely two thumbs up!
It's very kind that you think that Record Chaser could teach new authors how to approach writing a story. But I would probably recommend writing something shorter first! I have no idea what I thought back then when I decided to make my first story such a monstrosity in length!
Btw, do you remember that you once told me in a PM that you didn't know that you could rate a story with more than 1 point? I noticed that you seem to rate most stories/posts with only 1 point. If that is the appropriate rating in your mind, then please keep using it. But if you like a story as much as your posts suggests here, consider giving it a 2 point or 3 point rating! I would appreciate it and it helps the forum to get stories above the 30 and 60 rating point thresholds. You can upgrade a rating at any time by just clicking on the rating button again.

Yes, I wouldn't recommend a new writer to tackle a story of such length either, lol! But they can certainly take pointers from your story on how the plot progresses and how to do good character development. Even I have learned some new things from you that I can use to improve my writing style. As for your advice about story ratings, I will endeavor to give more favorable ratings, especially for stories such as this that really deserve it.

Wow, what a story. Powerful language. Very hot (well, not so much in the last part
), but also a psychological study.
I've never read a rape story where I felt compassion for both the victim and the perpetrator — and almost even more for the perpetrator… at least in this last chapter.
Unique how he tries to arouse her. And how you describe his torment.
A great continuation that really makes me curious about the final chapters.

With his face contorted in agony, Mark broke his record.

Re: Record Chaser - New Chapter!
There's something intriguing about a rapist who doesn't really want to rape but proceeds anyway. In that case, is the rapist raping themselves?
I see Mark as someone who will continue to try and break records. If he's not caught after raping Claire he will go after someone else eventually to try and break the record he made with Claire. He's addicted to rape and doesn't know how to stop, even when he's actively suffering.

I hope I don't have to explain that chapter 9 is deliberately not hot!JTCK wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 6:40 pm Very hot (well, not so much in the last part), but also a psychological study.
I want to share my thought process for the chapter a little with you. I knew that both Mark and Claire would just be tired and exhausted at this point. And coming 13 times in one day... even from a woman's perspective, my first thought is "that sounds more tiresome than fun". But for men, we are truly talking about biological limits here. I know it's not impossible. In Copenhagen there is a Masturbate-a-thon where a woman apparently managed to have 222 orgasms in one hour and a man 16. So extreme outliers do exist. But for Mark, a more or less normal man who is 30, coming this often most certainly wouldn't be fun. I imagined that at this point you can maybe still force your own body to go through the motions, but your orgasm would be reduced to a neurological and physical reflex devoid of any pleasure. So when I wrote
The reaction I was hoping to evoke in male readers in particular was: "Dude, what the hell are you doing? Just stop, this sounds horrible!"He wasn’t even sure whether it was accurate to call what his body did the last 3 times an orgasm. It was an experience devoid of pleasure, a half-erect cock twitching and flailing in agony, mere droplets of semen pushed from his hurting balls through his burning urethra. His body didn’t want to participate in this anymore.
I know it's kind of silly to ask "What do you think as a man about this?" because that's the same as asking me what I think of these 222 orgasms in one hour. I could just say "I don't know, I never tried anything that comes even close to that and I don't want to!" But did you think "I guess this might be what coming feels like at that point...", did you recoil, did you even want to imagine this? I definitely wanted this to feel uncomfortable.
Compassion is an interesting word here. I was aiming for pity. This is the chapter that should reveal how truly pathetic Mark is, in stark contrast to his feeling of triumph at the end of chapter 5. He achieves his goal, Claire wins the psychological battle that has defined the story since chapter 6, and the record he achieves feels utterly meaningless.JTCK wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 6:40 pm I felt compassion for both the victim and the perpetrator — and almost even more for the perpetrator
I would say he really wants to rape, but he wishes he could get rid of this annoying conscience that isn't indifferent to the suffering of others. But to answer your question: I think that he's violating himself, on many different levels. In this case physically, but he has also isolated himself, cut himself off from normal relationships with people. What he's doing is clearly self-destructive even when you ignore all moral concerns.RapeU wrote: Sat Nov 15, 2025 7:16 pm There's something intriguing about a rapist who doesn't really want to rape but proceeds anyway. Yes, the way Mark intends to break his record does indeed evoke a kind of pity. Both for the rapist and his victim. Although, for the victim, it probably seems rather ridiculous how he tries to carry out his last rape "at all costs."
Will Mark really be satisfied with the result? I'm curious about the next chapter. We'll certainly find out more there.

You did that very well. I almost felt physical pain while reading it…
That might be due to my weak expression in English. When I’m unsure — and that was the case here — I often let ChatGPT translate my German draft. In this instance, the German word “Mitleid” was first translated as “sympathy,” which I didn’t like at all. Alternatives suggested were compassion and also pity.Claire wrote: Sun Nov 16, 2025 10:20 am Compassion is an interesting word here. I was aiming for pity.
What I actually meant was this: Claire is such a brave, courageous, and innocent woman — the kind of person one feels genuine, heartfelt Mitleid for in that situation (even though, of course, I greatly enjoy the story). With Mark, on the other hand, I almost physically suffer along with him — you describe so vividly what he puts himself through just to break his record that I briefly wondered whether you might not be a woman after all
And yes, Mark really is pathetic in this chapter.

That's high praise and really interesting. I apologize in advance, but I will go off on a long tangent now.JTCK wrote: Sun Nov 16, 2025 12:05 pm With Mark, on the other hand, I almost physically suffer along with him — you describe so vividly what he puts himself through just to break his record that I briefly wondered whether you might not be a woman after all
I observed a pattern in some discussions we had on the forum here. It seems like especially men view writing a character of the other gender as a particularly hard challenge, especially when they are writing in first person. And that is fascinating to me. And I see that sentiment reflected in your comment, too. I also had several conversations with @Writers_Bloque in chat where he was interested in whether I could provide him some unique female perspective.
Personally, I think that this type of thinking is harmful to your own writing. When I write a male character, I don't think much about whether my depiction of him feels particulary masculine or not. Unless I'm explicitly writing about myself, I will always write about characters who are different from me. I think it is helpful to treat the difference in gender the same as any other difference there might be. Why should the experience of being a man be less accessible to my imagination than the experience of being a woman who is 20 centimeters taller than me? I think once you start to think about your characters like that you will find that writing a character with another gender than your own is no more difficult than writing any other character who isn't you.
Of course, your own lived experience is a great source to draw upon. But I write about characters who are very different from me all the time. For example, Eleanor from Späte Genugtuung is a very tall kickboxer. I'm neither tall nor do I know any martial arts. Early on in chapter 2 in Späte Genugtuung there is a scene where she chooses a very girly outfit to make herself seem less imposing to men who might feel intimidated by her physical presence. Despite Eleanor and me both being women, that is an experience that is unique to her. I simply don't have the physique to come across as physically imposing. It would probably be very funny if I tried to do that!
Once you view gender specific differences through that same lens and not as some unique problem for your imagination, writing characters of another gender becomes much easier. For example, I don't know what it's like to be a 2 meter tall guy, but I guess that very tall, physically imposing men who don't want to come across as threatening might regulate their own body language a lot. And in this way, I also think about Mark when I write him as a character.
And what I don't know, I do some research on. I looked up whether there are recorded orgasm records for men. I gave ChatGPT part of what I wrote and had it check whether that makes sense, like could his testicles actually hurt from coming too much? That was something I wasn't sure about for example. It was obvious to me that his penis would hurt because at some point the friction would just be too much, like for any other body part that's used too much. But his testicles weren't directly touched at all, they just went through these contractions during orgasm over and over. And I wondered: Would that be enough at some point to start hurting? Like muscle fatique maybe? And apparently the answer is yes and so I included that in the description.
Fun fact: One of the things I did the most research on was... how to throw a basketball correctly. If you read Späte Genugtuung, then you know that in the final chaper there is a scene where one character teaches another on how to throw a basketball. It's a very intimitate, sensual scene. And I was so scared that I would ruin it by getting the technicalities of throwing the ball correctly wrong. Because I haven't touched a basketball since I was... 15 maybe? I don't even remember at this point... Anyway, I started reading tutorials, watched YouTube videos and had ChatGPT read critically the words I put into the character's mouth.
