Let's call it a satirical exaggeration. But yeah, Jordan Peterson is definitely an important figure in the manosphere, and that's what the story is making fun of. Admittedly, he might have been even more important in November 2024 when I wrote this.

After reading his Wiki article there seems to be quite a lot more to him I did not know. Some really seem to idolize him.
I mostly remember him arguing with leftist activist at a rally, and be critical about some legislation in Canada in 2016. That was the first time he gained traction on a wider scale.

I came out of the anti-feminist rabbit hole around that time. (It had to be before the Brexit Referendum in 2016), so I missed most of what happened to him later.

Nothing here holds up to scrutiny if you assume that these are rogue, radical activists operating in our current world. So I wouldn't think too much about if the logistics make much sense.
