In general yes, as long as you keep that directed at the other fictional identities.

But I hope that we all here are adults that know that there are limits to this. For example, let's say you were able to identify some user X's real identity Y and know something personal about Y, like they are struggling with their divorce. I think a comment that goes for them personally like "I'll leave your story behind like your wife left you." would be a low blow. So, trash talk the fictional identity of your opponents, but leave normal user accounts and real identities out of it and don't make it personal. My biggest fear of trying this type of tongue in cheek role playing is that the trash talking gets out of hand and we might have to abandon this. I don't want any author to not enjoy participating because they feel like 7 other accounts ganged up on them. So, if people think that this gets out of hand, please let me know. This is an experiment and we will see how it goes and make adjustments to it if necessary.

I will also add a signature to the pen name accounts that makes it clear that these are part of a role play and that what they say is not meant to be taken seriously.

Yep, that's clear. I would expect people to confine their banter to details from the author's name, introduction, and story content only, since that's all the info we have.

I just saw two instances of authors rating their own stories with their real accounts. Luckily this had no effect on who advanced to the next round. But this is not allowed and I removed those two ratings. Please don't do this again in future rounds.
