I think I'm pretty much done here. I'm just fed up with those policies that seem never satisfied and always need to get more and more restrictive.
That's nonsense. Examples you used could easily, easily be written within the rules.
"She got married at 15 but they didn't consummate the marriage until much later."
"Grandpa gave her a quick peck on the forehead goodnight before he got into bed to have sex with grandma."
The overall point of the restriction is to prevent the child from being depicted sexually. The intent is what is important. A child in a story that's there as a device to enhance a plot without any sexual intention at all is completely and totally fine. If there's a gray area just put a disclaimer before the chapter that pedophilia is illegal and for sick fucks who need to get professional help. Disclaimers cover your ass and warn people who may get offended away.

Yeah, your words do make sense. I wrote this a bit hastily while my right ankle was positively killing me (a bout of severe inflammation that will have me going to work using a cane to-day, and I write to-day using a hyphen because this predicament makes me feel this ancient). Do you know that one of my readers thought I was 85+ years old from the way I write stories set in the 1940s?
I wrote this at the end of my last story's chapter and I think this covers me. I read "sexual act" as any sexual activity involving deep kissing (French kissing) and/or making out (petting) while still clothed or more. I concluded that seeing one another, dancing together or having feelings for one another was not overtly sexual.
@HistBuff I honestly don't think that changes much for us. I certainly agree that there is a tendency for people be too sensitive in some regards. But I don't think anybody wants to get rid off every coming of age story that shows two teenagers kissing.
When I was younger I liked to watch the show The Wonder Years. The very first episode shows the two main characters kissing when they are 12, not even teenagers. And I think the child actors at the time were also 13 at most.
I don't think anybody wants to label this as child pornography.
While I was not yet aware of the rules change, this reads to me more like they are specifying their original stance. As you quoted them originally, they forbid under legal age nudity. But think about what that means. What if somebody shows or posts an image or video of a child getting their genitals fondled through clothes? Technically, that wouldn't be under age nudity. So I read this as them making sure that their rule has no loopholes rather than an actual change in policy.
edit: How's your ankle?
My stories: Claire's Cesspool of Sin. I'm always happy to receive a comment on my stories, even more so on an older one!

Yeah, thanks! That's a beautiful scene. Great work by the actors! Feels authentic.
My ankle = it's unbearable. My foot is in a bucket of cold water as I write this as it seems to be the only thing that reduces the acute pain. Acetaminophen every 4-6 hours. I thought I have a cold, but it's something nastier that causes fever and inflammation. My foot/ankle problem may have something to do with excessive sitting time.
Being forced to leave out all sexual stuff because one of the character is minor makes me explore everything else involved in a dating relationship = feelings, closeness, personality, etc. Sometimes I just get tired of writing all those rape scenes.
This is what I posted on RU back in 2010, as the rule for what pics could be posted:
(A few years later, when the rules were not always followed, and to save on "volume of backups", RU began not to allow any pics except personal profile pic, and "pic-links" from a pic-server.)
The official position of RavishmentU, concerning pictorial content posted on the site:
"...using someone's picture for public/member display generally requires the consent of the person involved, and it's disallowed if you just stole a pic or vid and posted it without consent (of her parents, for example). If you're pretty sure her parents would never agree to seeing their kid on a rape website, don't do it. Stuff from places like anyplace that intends to sell their service is OK if you paid for it, don't let what you've posted look like stolen shit. Remember there is a HIGHER, MORE RESTRICTIVE standard for a "rape site" than for Hollywood, media TV, etc."
Therefore, all pictorial content is one or more of the following:
- Wholly owned and created by the poster
- provably of someone whose parents hoped their daughter would end up on a rape site
- pictures that have been paid for, or "leased" for purposes of displaying on a rape site
- pictures that are posted with permission granted by the legitimate owner, knowing they were destined for a rape site

Interesting, as I think that a "RAPE SITE" could not allow anything that is copyrighted, or would be refused permission by the owners/creators of the content, to be
included alongside "RAPE CONTENT".
And then there is the "definition of porn" as being "ANYTHING that a competent DA could use to convince an American Jury to convict the defendant." (And PART of what confuses us, is that STATE-CERTIFIED EDUCATIONAL FACILITIES AND PERSONNEL are almost totally excused from MOST porn laws. That is, a video shown to kindergarteners could get a commercial 'RAPE-PORN' site shut down.)
