I think this was a great little story! A rough rape scene might have perhaps been nice , but I liked the sudden juxtaposition of the courtroom scene, and I believe the theme was followed in a creative manner. Good job, @Ink Splotter !

It read well, I like the snap to court room-- lord knows enough idiots run around recording the charades these days. but on whether myself herself... although I am by nature fairly semantic,
I have to think of the words I believe attributed to Maya Angelou, something like "[They] may not remember what was said, rather they do remember how it made us/you/them feel."
