I will let the poll run for a week, but so far the trend looks clear. Most seem to think that it's a bit much currently and some seem to think it is okay as it is. I will extend the writing period for the next contest from three weeks to a month then, I think.

@Vela Nanashi I'm all for community based prompts and others organizing contests as well. I asked for someone else to organize a contest in my place in the past but when ultimately nothing happened I started the Gang Rape Galore contest. Even the organization of the German contest I had to partially take over. But I'm more than happy to have contests on the forum that are organized by someone else. I would of course help with the announcement and tag for the contest.
My stories: Claire's Cesspool of Sin. I'm always happy to receive a comment on my stories, even more so on an older one!

A good idea, I suppose, to catch the start of September... Even with that month being my personal August. :D

A week later, I thank @Vela Nanashi for her answer... and deplore the near-absence of feedback regarding the knockout tournament. :P

This may be too little and too late, but so am I. Please start another contest. I couldn't even read the stories for the last one in the time I had, so now I'm aching for the release of cruel, sadistic words to sate my muse.

Rashomon's Legacy was the last contest I organized and I don't know when @RapeU want to organize another one. But in case you are interested in past contests, here is a thread with the contest history so far:

Ravishment Academy contest history

Maybe the RavishU Memorial contest might be interesting for you to revisit? It was our first contest and is the main reason why Google started showing the forum to people in the first place. So in case you found this forum via a search engine, you did so most likely because of that contest. ;)

I also would like to see my idea for a remake contest in action that I pitched here:

Contest ideas

Feel free to make suggestions for the next contest. I was always happy to get some feedback from the community on contest ideas. I'm sure @RapeU could use some input from the community, too!

I've got something planned for the month of October that I'll post a little early on Sunday since October starts midweek and I'll likely be busy that day. November will have a novel writing contest by @LtBroccoli. After that I'll pull any ides from the contest idea thread @Claire mentioned.

November is NaNoWriMo, National Novel Writing Month. I'm calling it a challenge more than a contest. Anyone who can complete 50,000 words in a month has already won. It's like a marathon; no one runs to win, they run to conquer.

Basic rules are in the thread with that name, but it essentially comes down to starting on November 1 to November 30, participants have 1 month to write 50,000 either as a standalone novel or as the beginning of a longer work. They can do any and all prep work beforehand, but the text body can't start until after the clock strikes midnight after Halloween.

Would we want to still hold a vote here? It might get some extra readership for something the authors worked so hard on. But the other side of the question is that the contest will be full of 50k+ entries, so that might prove daunting, especially if participants don't post as we go.

I've done NaNoWriMo twice and won each time. I'm a prolific writer when I get my head into it, but both times involved a lot. To meet the 50k mark, we have to average 1667 words a day, and sometimes pesky distractions like Thanksgiving (for American writers) rise up to slow us down. I strongly recommend making an outline first. Just brainstorm the types of scenes to include and make some notes on the major characters. I think for many writers here, this can be done. We just have to apply a variant on the old Raymond Chandler rule, which was that if he was stuck, have a man walk into the room holding a gun. If we're stuck, threaten a new rape.
