The story has drawn me in, and it is convincing. And yeah, I think I'd like to go out with the Dobrev plague -- I'm not the one for post-apocalyptic adventures... or farming, for that matter. :lol:

It makes me wonder -- did catastrophic plagues have such an effect, much milder because tempered by patriarchy? I'd like to look into the admittedly scarce evidence. Naturally wars tend to have the opposite one, scarcity of males and all that.

I was using the premise of Stephen Kings the stand, for this and instead of the supernatural mumbo jumbo I developed it to a world in which women gained the ultimate power. Instead of might makes right, the scarcity of a resource defines its value.

There might be literally hundreds of communities with other structures, but they are too far away from Salvation to habe any impact on it.
