Re: Die Boxer (The german contest)
Stark geschrieben.

Thanks, Shocker! This was a "what would have happened if..." story, since in real life, the Europeans miraculously held out the position until the relief army came in August, thus spoiling the "fun".Shocker wrote: Sun Jul 13, 2025 12:20 pm
As I said excellent storytelling, and I expect this to be one of the contenders for the top position. Still have to read most of the other stories.

It is rare that I go this dark and this horrific (I had to reread the Rules to make sure...), but I've seen pictures where Boxers commit massacres with severed heads on pikes in the background, so I went into that direction. What helped the story the most is the fact I wrote it in German --- since my ability to put excessive details in the rape scenes is limited in German, it sort of forced me to strike a better balance between detailed rapes and story flow -- I smile when I remember some of my early-early stories where a character would spend nearly a whole chapter inside a girl!

Danke! You say as if spending a long time inside a girl was a bad thing.

Very good! I'm wondering how the world would've looked in this timeline -- can't see Wilhelm II not sending the punitive expedition to end all punitive expeditions. The Great (Race) War, anyone?
Carla is Lina, of course.

Yes, Lina absolutely loved her part! Especially when she stood amid all those Chinese men who were raping/worshipping her!Lucius wrote: Mon Jul 14, 2025 9:00 pm Very good! In der Tat... Even though the Boxers never actually won the siege (the overrunning of the legations quarter is a piece of "what if" history), the response from the European armies was nothing short of brutal and barbaric -- the eight-nation alliance eventually had a full-blown army that completely devastated the countryside around Peking, as they wanted to terrorize the population into not ever uprising again. The Empress Cixi and her court were forced to flee in the mountain reaches north of Manchuria.
