Yeah, the cheating angle is something I don't like, so I was writing against myself instead of with myself. The narration has a weirdly distant feel to it like it's afraid to actually dive into the moment. That gives the whole story an almost surreal quality.
This is one of those stories that might actually fit the dubious consent label quite well.![]()
