So what's going to happen to all the content on here when the server goes past its last payment? Will it all be deleted? Will there be an archive?RapeU wrote: Wed Jul 15, 2026 3:46 am Whoever takes over would essentially need to assemble their own team from the ground up. Otherwise, in early November, it will be the Academy's final days. The exact date will be announced once I make the next payment in August.

It will vanish like RU and KB and TBV, if something is important to you save it. Authors may be going to other places like Ao3 and such, and there is a discord and matrix chat to join to connect with people, and if you have someone you want to stay in contact with pm them and see if they want to share contact information, unlike some places long warning was given and communication was left open, there is a month left, use it.

I actually don't know. It's entirely possible that I will get multiple emails to my proton account that I never check before the host stops hosting due to lack of payment. Or the host would stop right on November 10th.AdultUser7779 wrote: Thu Oct 08, 2026 4:54 pmSo what's going to happen to all the content on here when the server goes past its last payment? If the host decides to give us a grace period, or someone decides to take over, then the domain itself expires in February and will need to be renewed then.

Re: Forum Closure
Hi so here is finally the information on the new site. Former member of many of these site DarkArchon has begun putting together the Dark Lair, at https://dark-lair.com the site is now open for registration.
A couple of things to mention beforehand. On first time accessing the site, it requests a birthdate. In the modern internet as we live in it, running an adult oriented site, is no longer possible without some form of age checking.
Secondly this site is brand spanking new, so please don’t expect a community to be present there already, that’s actually what we can bring to the site. The invitation is open to all.
Edit: fixed the incocrrect address

@Shocker Are you sure that's the correct link? It doesn't work for me, at the moment at least.

Re: Forum Closure
Thanks, now it works.
One word of feedback for darkarchon or whoever is involved there. Rule 8 in the terms of service currently says:
That seems odd, unless I'm misunderstanding what the site is supposed to be. I guess this is meant to be a rule against posting videos/images of real rapes, which makes sense. But the way it's worded now, it would forbid all noncon stories.Consenting Adult Content Only
All content must involve and depict consenting adults only. Non-consensual content, revenge porn, or content posted without all participants’ consent is prohibited.

@Claire I saw another post here that said you have an archive of the ravishu.com site but cannot share it because it wont have permission from authors? is that so?
I'd humbly request we find some way of sharing that, its invaluable content that doesnt exist anywhere else. this was posted on a public forum, so I dont see how its any different from websites that people can save on their own, or archive.org etc, and all that is perfectly legal.
If I am mistaken I apologize, otherwise please do consider this...

Re: Forum Closure
@obik I have a copy of RavishU's database. And even me owning it is somewhat questionable as Lois, the owner of RavishU, is probably the only one who has full rights over that database.
Even if I were to share this database, you'd have to import it into a Simple Machines Forum, the forum software that RavishU used, to properly read it. Or import it into a MyBB forum installation which can import SMF databases. The file is also something like 20GB large.
That being said: That database also includes e-mails adresses, passwords, and private messages for over 20,000 RavishU accounts. Even if I wanted to share the stories, I'd have to somehow export the story threads from the database to disentangle them from all the private user information which I simply don't know how to do.
I have this backup of the database imported into a MyBB forum installation on my laptop. And in the past, I've used that backup to recover stories for authors who had no copy of their own stories after RavishU went offline. But I've stopped doing that a while ago.
The simple truth is: I told the members of this community over and over again that sites like this won't last or flourish if they don't engage with the stories posted here. Now, what I've warned people about has come to past. Even if I could somehow solve all the privacy issues about the backup and even if I were willing to ignore that I don't know what the authors of those stories want, I still wouldn't feel inclined to help enable the passive consumption of stories that has destroyed this forum. If the people wanting to read these stories cared enough to support the authors writing them with their engagement, they had every chance to do so here. They chose not to. And if they don't do that, then they shouldn't be surprised to see places like this disappear and the stories with them. It is as simple that.
