Question about rape scenes in mainstream movies

Monica Bellucci getting it in Irréversible is my favorite classic rape scene. Story has it that many women walked out of the showing at Cannes for that one, it's so unnecessarily gratuitous.

I was scanning down to see if this was mentioned. That scene is quite brutal. It's extremely well acted and a long take. I first heard about that scene when I was fairly young and I wanted to see it, so I bought the movie on DVD. My girlfriend at the time liked "arty movies" and since it was French I felt like it qualified, so I figured I'd gift it to her afterwards (it might've been her birthday or something). I watched the scene and I hadn't seen much like that at the time - it was pretty shocking for me, but also arousing as these things seem to be for people like us. Anyway, I still gave her the DVD afterwards, because I was an idiot, and she went away and watched it, and lets just say she didn't particularly enjoy it. I think I claimed ignorance.

Just a few off the top of my head:

All Hallow's Eve: This isn't a very graphic scene or anything, but it touches on something that many of us have desired in horror films and are then left blue-balled (or blue-ovaried). That is, the archetypical final girl being taken against her will. In this case, it's a young woman partway through the film getting filled by the devil himself. Damien Leone has a tendency to throw out the familiar tropes in name of shock value, and I'm glad he did here by having the chaste good girl damsel get stripped and fucked. I do wish it had a little more detail to it (and was better lit) but still, it's nice to finally see something in a mainstream film that I've always desired.

American Desire: Some of that b-movie shlock that I love here! It kind of goes dub-con in the second part, if that's your thing. Woman is super boujee (very similar to the wife in the well-known Because Of The Cats scene) and I like the tension of her wandering alone in a mansion before her inevitable ravishing. The aggressor is not this super buff dude or anything, but there's a certain mysterious Chad-ness to him that I think is underrated.

Hurt: This probably pushes the envelope for me as I typically don't like stuff that's brutal. But I like that the woman is a little bit chubby but still cute and the humiliation of her blouse being torn open and skirt cut off before she is reamed.

Tom Cats: There are two great scenes here. The first is a diner waitress stripped and taken in the kitchen, but I love the scene with the second waitress who's taken in the back of the van. She's so realistic looking as just in an average babe from the 70s sort of way.

Also agree with everyone about that scene from Death Wish II with the maid! I also like the scene afterwards with the captured niece, which has a different tone. And the woman is super cute! (though not a fan of the window jump after.) Still, it's always weird for me to see Lawrence Fishburne in that movie raping women. LOL

Yes! I actually mention this scene in my above post. Some may be turned off that the character is supposed to be previously traumatized, leading to her being mute, but I love that the movie isn't afraid to ravish such an innocent, unworldly damsel. And Sherwood looks the part with that modest haircut, blue cardigan, white and blue striped blouse, and khaki skirt. Gawd, so fuckable! *swellllllllllllllBOING!* I never fail to fill the front of my pants when I watch that scene.

There's Russian mini-series, film noir, set in post WW2 Russia . "The Hour Before the Dawn". One of the cops gets kidnapped and gang raped. WOW. 10 star scene.
I actually prefer the original Death Wish. Kathleen Tolan defiled. Another chill.
Lipstick is definitely a favorite.
The Paradise Suite (Dutch). Three East European girls are raped to break them before they're put in brothels.
