The Dining Hall is the perfect place to take a break from your studies. Meet your fellow students or colleagues to chat about anything else the world has to offer. For the most part, any interest you want to share is fair game—just steer clear of contemporary politics.

One hundred years ago today, on 7 April 1926, the Irish aristocrat Violet Gibson tried to change the history of our world when she took a shot at Benito Mussolini, the bullet grazing his nose.

Her reward? Thirty years of insane asylums.

One hundred years ago today, on 21 April 1926, the most famous accident of birth in recent world history took place in London.

Elizabeth Alexandra Mary's existence, as long as it was gilded, spanned a lot of things and lives... Still and all -- outlasted by Liz Truss. :|
