Claire wrote: Fri May 15, 2026 10:40 am A big thanks to @sinfulwords. I only just now noticed because of her that the recent hack apparently also got rid of my chapter 4 update. I have now exchanged the old outdated version of the chapter with the new edited version again.
Similar to the edits for chapters 1 to 3, chapter 4 should now read a lot smoother and eliminate a lot of errors. The word count was cut down from 4452 to 4235, mostly getting rid of repetitive or clunky phrasing. In terms of prose quality, it should be the biggest improvement since the chapter 1 update.
Sorry to @sinfulwords that she had to read the old version instead!

i came across this story on ao3 and then went to your profile and discovered this website! i’m still confused about how to use it ngl but this story is really compelling to me. it’s exactly what i’ve been looking for, especially the slow burn and your characters’ inner monologues. you’re such a talented writer! i really hope i get to read the rest of this story, and i’ll definitely check out your other works too once i fully understand how this website works!

@emma_charl Thank you for the kind feedback.
Yes, our forum here is a bit old school. I don't know how old you are, but this kind of forum was very popular back in the day before social media took over the internet. So I get that the experience might be a bit jarring if you're not familiar with that.
It's funny that you found the forum via AO3. Until a few weeks ago, I used the end notes on my stories to advertize the forum, but I've stopped doing that recently since the forum will soon be closed for good. I actually don't want to lure people here anymore now that the site is about to be closed.
When it comes to my stories, you can find all of them on AO3 with the exception of the last 4 chapters of Record Chaser. You can read them here, but be aware that Record Chaser is the first story I ever wrote and that I'm currently in the process of giving the entire story a bit of an overhaul to get the prose up to my current standards. That's why the last four chapters aren't posted on AO3 yet because I haven't edited them yet. But please read the old versions here. You should be able to do so now that I rated your post!
If you want to do me a favor, give the stories you like a kudos on AO3 and say hello in the comments! I'm always excited to hear from my readers. And when it comes to this forum: Feel free to look around a bit despite it closing soon. You will find quite a few gems here from authors who don't post on AO3.
