Vela Nanashi wrote: Thu Jan 29, 2026 9:16 pm I would like to add here that some people from Kristen's Board are hanging out on Hilda's Hideaway and I am moderator there, if you are from Kristen's board (www.kristensboard.com formerly) you can both join us here and there, let me know if you have issues registering/getting approved, as we have not solved email server stuff on Hilda's Hideaway, but I can solve those if you give me a poke in a pm here on RA, as I am mod over there too. I am hoping to help connect people to each other who were friends on KB and on RU, so I am hoping the contest will not only get them to join here, but over there too :) Now going to go post an invitation to the contest over there as well that links here :)
Hilda who signed with "I'm not a wall flower"? I had discussions with her. Really like her. I was starting to write a consensual story set in modern-day Rome (1953) when the site got shut down. The consensual orientation was forced upon the site by its host, who came with a list of very restrictive rules, such as no rape, no underage, no incest, no bestiality, etc. The true spirit of Kristen's Board was art without boundaries, and for a long time, KB was a highly creative group of like-minded writers.

A question for @RapeU . Is the 1,000 to 5,000 word limit a hard and fast rule? I have a story ready but it's like 6,200 words and I am having a hard time getting it trimmed down. I can maybe get it down to probably like 5,500 or 5,600 at the most. Let me know.

I think if it falls within 10% of the word limit it would be ok. So 5,500 would be the absolute most.

@RapeU I managed to get it whittled down to just over 5400 words.

It's supposed to be a cons story. Does it have to include sex? I found another story on my hard drive that hints at a sexual relationship, but doesn't explicitly describe sex.

A story to make you smile.

I hadn't intended to participate in February's contest, as let's face consensual isn't my strong suit. But with this being season point, I'll give it a shot.
