It varies a lot. When I'm in the mood to write, nothing beats writing. Creating a victim to order and controlling what happens to her and how it's presented to the reader is a real power trip. Playing God-the-rapist, in a way. Using humour to mock the victim's suffering while also distancing things from too much reality.
I enjoy comic books a lot. Some of the DoFantasy things are good, but I really enjoy Milo Manara's erotic fumetti. Not a huge amount of rape (but plenty) but he clearly enjoys the sight of really beautiful women being sexually humiliated.
Movies are a great medium whose potential for the erotic has hardly been scratched. The 70s is the golden age for gratuitous, sexualised rape scenes. The sexiest filmmakers to me are Robbe-Grillet with his rapey bdsm and Bertrand Blier, whose misogyny is off-putting as a world-view but leads to some very hot situations. Les Valseuses is my favourite: a pert young actress called Miou-Miou has a very bad time through much of it, and there' are some queasily amusing predatory scenes with other unfortunate ladies.
I'm currently on imaglr, having moved through bdsmlr and reblogme. The extreme short-form gif and captioned photos they feature are stimulating but never satisfying. But I can go away and think about an image or text and get off on it, sometimes. Taking an existingimage and adding words to make it even nastier can be fun.
And I enjoy reading stories, print or online, of course!

Re: Story, photos, porn - your choice?
Basically, writing stories and photos. Both are intimately linked. The fantasy part started for me at a very early age, reading novels about Crusaders capturing cities in books that featured illustrations. Arab women were fascinating and always drawn in such a way that their shapes were revealed through their dress. And they were often shown barefoot. Rapes were never described in these novels, but strongly implied. What got me started on interracial fantasies was the chapters where the Moorish would overrun Christian castles and cities and this was always met with a strong sense of scandalized horror by the Christians -- reacting as if they had the right to take their cities and their women but not the other way around. You had the proverbial blonde beauties or the mysterious raven-haired noblewomen in illustrations too, so it was easy to imagine what those Moors did to introduce said noblewomen to life in a harem. Those were novels from the 1960s-1970s intented for "youth", all in French so "youth" is my translation for "roman jeunesse" (roughly 12-18 years old).
I watch a lot of Code-era movies, mostly films noirs and westerns. In most of my stories, I have the photo of actresses portraying a main character. In many of these movies, there are near-rape situations, sometimes even implied rape. A good example of this is the 1960 version of Spartacus; early in the film, you see the out-of-control slaves ravaging the countryland and pillaging villas in scenes where women are heard screaming off-screen. The moviewriters had to live with the Code and they were masters at creating implicit stuff without violating the rules.
The Last Command (1955) has one of the best gang-rape implicitations ever on screen. When the victorious Mexicans overrun Fort Alamo, Consuelo is there and the very last thing you hear are women screaming and then the scene goes into an ellipse and the movie resumes with a Mexican bugle boy playing the salute to the dead as the soldiers clear the fort and line up bodies while General Santa Anna is on horseback overseeing the scene. It's no wonder I wrote a story drawing from this movie. Anna Maria Alberghetti, the 19-year-old actress who portrayed Consuelo, was highly rapeable. The movie shows Consuelo going from A to Z. My story is about what happened in between.

Looks like Consuelo lost SOMETHING, all right. And she's never getting it back.

Wow! It's like you and I have almost aligned interests on these related topics. One thing I've always liked about writing is the power trip aspect of it (which is a very meta aspect that comes with the genre as a whole). I'm not a person who chases power in the real world. I manage people at work and I don't particularly get jazzed up on an ego trip about it like some people do when they supervise others (and I would be just as happy in an individual contributor role with lots of freedom) but when it comes to fantasy...oh boy do I get off on wielding power, and making the characters victims of that power is a turn-on in itself!skuttrusk wrote: Mon Jun 16, 2025 11:26 am It varies a lot. Regarding DoFantasy, while I find some of Slasher's comics a bit more violent and bloody for my tastes, their overall themes really resonate with me. I really get turned on that their victims are sexually humiliated with no apology. Slasher does commission comics. I gave some consideration to commissioning them for something, but they are really pricey, a bit more pricey than I'd want to shell out for a short comic.I enjoy comic books a lot. The movies inspired by Manara's work are total S tier for me! While I wish the rest of the Butterscotch series leaned more into the invisible stripping theme of the first film, that first film really sets the bar. A lot of people focus in on the scene of the haughty woman at the dinner getting stripped—and yes, it's hot—but I honestly think the scene at the end of Norman's girlfriend being forcefully undressed and groped at the party is underratedly erotic and hits on that humiliation and objectification kink that just does it for me. It goes to show that with some decent acting, basic practical effects, and a little bit of imagination, a filmaker can create something really hot. The Click Series is a lot more consistent, IMO. The movie with the political plotline has a scene where the female protagonist gets tossed into a jail cell with a vampish lesbian and all sexiness ensues. I don't say this just because I grew up in the 90s, but that time period really did understand softcore porn like the Manara films and put realistic (rather than porn model-looking) actresses in sexually precarious situations, where the tension, undressing, lingerie, and deed itself were are part of the thrill.
Agreed 100% that film has a lot of potential that it has yet to realize yet. Unfortunately, I don't think that's going to happen in any sort of mainstream films now. The most recent film that hit the closest for my tastes was the Harley Quinn movie where the main bad guy makes a guy at a club cut off his date's dress. Western porn is boring because it's just about vanilla sex, which I can see anywhere. Japanese films still have a lot to offer, but trying to penetrate the endless JAVs and vintage pink films takes as much time as watching the movies themselves. There are just so many and figuring out what you're looking for as a non-Japanese speaker is a tall order.Movies are a great medium whose potential for the erotic has hardly been scratched. I find a lot of what I'm interested in is in late 60s to 80s b-movies. The movies didn't mind being trash, so they could feature trashy scenes. Though as far as vintage erotica goes, The Love Object will always be one of my favorites. The filmaker got a 100% plus 10 bonus points on the assignment there, especially with creating the perfect ingenue from Kim Pope, and doing what many artists are afraid to do with ingenue characters: completely, totally, and unapologetically sexually humiliate her. Though her character does get her revenge at the end, which I can appreciate!
On the previous RU board, Angie had created a very popular thread to post a single picture and then an accompanying paragraph related to it. There were some really hot captions in that thread. I do like visualization and pictures and drawings inspire me quite a bit. There's a lot of AI-generated art out there—a lot of it AI slop—and I haven't seen a whole lot of AI art with action in it that really moves me. But I have seen and have created AI images of characters that really spark my imagination and help me imagine what twisted fate would befall them.I'm currently on imaglr, having moved through bdsmlr and reblogme. Another ravishment implication happens in the 1953 version of "House of Wax" with one of Professor Jarrod's victims, most precisely Sally Gray (Carolyn Jones), who goes on a date with a mysterious stranger and meets a grisly outcome at his "love nest". The whole matter is paid little attention for she was depicted as a "loose" young girl in the couple scenes she has, and after all, basically no one cared in the 1890s and 1900s if a lass consented to the carnal advances of a man or not...HistBuff wrote: Thu Jun 19, 2025 9:01 am I watch a lot of Code-era movies, mostly films noirs and westerns. The stories.
For all the same reasons everybody else likes the stories.
