Did you think of something like that?

Sure, my idea was to create avatars matching the pen names that contestants come up with. I think it would be fun to come up with silly memorable names, but if a contestant chooses a superhero pen name that would be fine too. I would just want to avoid people picking their own pen name. You might be able to tell who is who if you have an idea what kind of name they might choose.
You can already see two designs above. I like the idea, but I'd like a female avatar, which is why I came up with the idea of superheroes and comics, etc.Claire wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 5:59 pmSure, my idea was to create avatars matching the pen names that contestants come up with. Yeah, those look great. Maybe we can discuss this more once we know the pen names.
It is kind of the point that your contest "identity" is completely unrelated to you for the sake of anonymity. Here is how I imagine this work: Suppose @KittyUmbrass enters the contest and she makes a suggestion for a pen name. Let's say she were to suggest Flaccid Banana, then some other contestant would get that name assigned at random, let's say @Vile8r would become Flaccid Banana. Then we would create an avatar like your earlier examples for Flaccid Banana. Suppose further @Blue would suggest Spiderman and you would get that pen name. Then for a matchup between Vile8r and you we would create a VS-banner for the match announcement using the avatars that says "Flaccid Banana VS. Spiderman". And of course, because all of this is random, you could also be Flaccid Banana instead. So nobody would know anything, it is just supposed to be stupid fun so that the matchups don't say "Anonymous1 vs. Anonymous2".LaLia wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 6:05 pm I like the idea, but I'd like a female avatar, which is why I came up with the idea of superheroes and comics, etc.
I don't know the themes yet. I would come up with them until Wednesday when the contest would begin. Reputation can only be given within the story boards. Click on any thread in the Public Stories board, then you should see at the top right of a post a green number with a purple background (unless the reputation is 0). Next to that number is a thumbs-up button. Click on that and you can give a rating ranging from 1 to 3 and add a comment to your rating if you want to.Kendall wrote: Thu Apr 17, 2025 8:57 pm What is/are the themes and also, how do I add a reputation? @Shocker told me how but I don't see the button he was talking about.
